A Warning: Avoid Sandy Spring Hotel at All Costs For years, I was a staunch advocate for Sandy Spring Hotel. I found solace within its walls and appreciated the staff who always seemed to make my stays memorable. However, I am now compelled to urge everyone: Do NOT stay at this hotel anymore. My recent stay was marred by unbearable noise pollution due to ongoing construction activities. This incessant racket made it impossible to find any peace or rest, and yet, the hotel still had the audacity to charge a premium price for a miserable experience. I attempted to rectify the situation by asking for a price adjustment to compensate for the unbearable noise levels. However, the manager gave me a dismissive shrug and said she "cannot help." Her reason? The owner is off gallivanting in the U.S., enjoying the spoils of our hard-earned money, while the staff here are left to slog away. This blatant disregard for guest comfort, combined with an unwillingness to make even the smallest concession, is nothing short of appalling. Especially when you consider that I have been a loyal guest for many years. The neglectful attitude of both the owner and the manager has shattered my trust and respect for Sandy Spring Hotel. It's clear that they are more interested in lining their pockets than in ensuring the well-being and satisfaction of their guests. So, I reiterate: avoid Sandy Spring Hotel. There are plenty of other establishments that value their guests and offer a serene, comfortable stay—qualities that Sandy Spring has evidently abandoned.

Have stayed at the Sandy Spring ever since it opened maybe 20 years ago. Stayed in the refurbished rooms and all was good...nice new fittings, good Internet. Pool looked brand new! Small car park, which was very handy and the hotel is located right next to the Sportsman bar and restaurant, which has been serving great food for many years. Recommended...would stay there again.

Great hotel, ideaaly located....close to everything you will need in Pattaya. Sportsman pub next door for great food. Excellent massage 10 yards away :) 100 m to the beach. Staff friendly and helpful, room spacious and clean with excellent sea view . Reasonable price.....overall, great value little hotel !!

Easy check in with very nice staff. Was seen to the room but when entering, it was very obvious that it was a smoking room as the stench was very strong. I was told that all rooms were smoking rooms. Nice spacious room with a lovely sea view. When I went to have a shower, it was one that had a hose in the bath which I didn't mind. However, the hose was only about 4 foot long and so it was only good for the lower body and I had to crouch down to wash my hair. I did ask to change rooms but was told I would have to upgrade and bearing in mind I was booked in for 3 weeks, I declined.

Sandy Spring is centrally located in Pattaya. It's near the beach. A huge number of restaurants (of different styles) are within walking distance and a proper supermarket is within a 3-minute walk. We had a suite room. In addition to the bedroom it had a good sized living room and a large balcony. There was also a large fridge, which was handy for keeping our drinks cold. The room was a bit dated, but the only thing that disturbed about it was that there was only one room key (a traditional key, not a key card). Even though the room was pretty large, it was quite plain and simple. Two small bottles of water were provided daily. There was a pool where beach chairs and towels were provided. The hotel was pretty quiet and they ran a limited service. The hotel bar didn't serve food and room service wasn't available. Luckily there was an English pub right nextdoor which served also breakfast - but it wasn't the most pleasant environment for a breakfast when others were having their morning beers there. Also the pool area wasn't staffed. When we checked in, the aircon in the bedroom of our room didn't work. The bellman tested it when he took us to the room and immediately moved us to the neighbouring room. Well, after a few days the aircon broke there. When we reported about it, we were moved back to our original room, where the aircon had been repaired meanwhile.
